Dr. Johnson was born in Wyoming, and raised in Summersville, West Virginia. She received her Bachelor’s degree from West Virginia University and spent a semester exploring her heritage in Bodø, Norway. She also earned her D.D.S. degree from WVU. Dr. Johnson then received her periodontal training at the UAB School of Dentistry and the VA Medical Hospital in Birmingham, Alabama. After completion of her graduate program, she joined the team at Periodontal Specialists. She resides in Rochester, and is enjoying getting to know the wonderful people and the outdoor activities that Minnesota has to offer. Dr. Johnson is an avid skier, and is looking forward to XC skiing and hockey season! She also is a passionate traveler and enjoys reading, cooking, theatre, and music. Professionally, Dr. Johnson is a member of the American Academy of Periodontology, Midwest Society of Periodontology, American Dental Association, Southern Academy of Periodontology, and is pursuing board certification as a Diplomate of the American Board of Periodontology.
